Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all of the amazing fathers and grandparents in our lives!  We are surrounded by truly wonderful men and role models and are so happy to call them family!!

We had such a wonderful weekend and finally had a little down time.  We spent Saturday at the Fort Worth Children's museum where they had a Super Saturday Event.  We didn't know this at the time, but in celebration of father's day, everything revolved around super heroes.  Kids came dressed as their favorite characters and were all over the place.  It was a fun day, not too crowded and some quality family time.  The kids got to meet Batman, got signed comic books and ran around from activity to activity with no lines.  We came home and had an impromptu swimming session that consisted of everyone swimming in their clothes... yes even I was pulled in!

Josh initially had a work event scheduled on the Sunday of Father's Day and was going to be away from us all day fishing, but because of too much rain in Oklahoma, the trip was cancelled and he was able to spend it with us!  We began with pancakes, went to church and then spent the whole rest of the day just playing.  Then we finished the night making {and eating} homemade ice cream!  JUST what the doctor ordered!

We love you Daddy!

A full smile!

As we are just one month away from Caroline being 3, despite all of the growing up she has done, the biggest change since her last birthday has got to be that she HAS BOTH FRONT TEETH!  Caroline's top right tooth did not even begin to pop through until after her second birthday.  This completely baffled everyone, including my dental hygienist mother and Caroline's pediatric dentist.  No one had ever heard of this happening.  But just after she turned two a small point began to come down.  The tooth came in almost completely sideways and then eventually did straighten itself out.  It is the weirdest thing and we hardly notice it anymore because we are so used to it.  There is a space between the two teeth, but she just wouldn't be Caroline with out it!

And today...

Introducing...

The One... The Only...
LADY BUG GIRL!!!
and her dog BINGO!
Caroline's all time favorite book and character is Lady Bug Girl!  She is just too funny.  Every time Josh gets out Cooper's super heros to play, Caroline is always lady bug girl!  I picked up some moving boxes the other day at the store and while they were just laying around, she decided to make her own stage and dress up for a "performance".  We sure love our silly lady bug girl!

Thank you, thank you very much!

Go Go Go!

Cooper is on the move!!  He is not quite walking, but getting SO close!  He has been crawling for about the last 2 months, but for some reason I haven't found time to write about it.  {I was probably too busy pulling him out of cabinets and moving him back into the living room instead.}  We stopped his therapy at the end of April and were overall pleased with the improvement. We knew he was getting the hang of things and it definitely helped his motivation to move, so we decided to work with him on our own from there.  Now he is all over the place!  He still likes to stick close to his Mama, but does venture off quite a bit more.  He quickly gets around the house cruising on furniture and walks while holding our fingers.  He is much closer to walking and I can't say that my arms are complaining.  At probably somewhere around 26 pounds, we are ready!!  :)

 Okay Mom, that's enough!
