Arboretum

We have had such nice weather this spring and have tried to take full advantage!!  We took a spontaneous trip a couple Saturdays ago to the Arboretum and had a ball!  We have a season pass that is up in May and this is the FIRST time we have been all year.  Oops!  :)  But hopefully we will have a chance to go back soon.

Josh brought a football and soccer ball and we just played and played in the open grass.
A pretty pink and purple butterfly joined us!  :)

 Caroline even looked for Snype!

To make things even better, we ran into the Petersen's and spent a great afternoon playing with Tristan and the gang!

Easter

Wouldn't you know it?  All I wanted to do for Easter this year was get one picture where all of us were still dressed up and looking nice.  Well, this one is about the best {and only} one we got!  It was so hard to get Caroline to stop playing with Sam and sit still for 1 second!

We had a wonderful Easter and after church, spent the afternoon at Adam and Julie's.  Julie had a wonderful lunch and everyone had a great time celebrating Jesus and that he died for us!  The kids played and played and even had yet another egg hunt!

Caroline and Cooper awoke to eggs outside of the doors to their rooms.  There was a trail that led downstairs to our entire living room and dining room full of eggs.  Caroline sure caught on to the whole idea of an egg hunt, but did "help" Cooper find some for himself.  I didn't feel like I did a very good job of explaining the reason behind Easter to the kids and really want to be particular about this in the years to come.  It is such a neat holiday, and one that I am truly thankful and blessed for, but it is hard to explain to little ones.  I am  hoping we can be more purposeful about it in the future!

Easter Festivities

We had so many festivities leading up to Easter!  Caroline wasn't quite sure what to do at the first egg hunt, but it didn't take long.  By the second one, she had it down and was quite the little egg finder!

Our favorite TCU activity has to be the Egg Hunt!  We couldn't miss this and headed to Fort Worth for the day.  We rocked our purple and got to participate in so much more this year!  Caroline would not go close to the Easter Bunny, but wasn't afraid at all of Super Frog.

Caroline got her face painted and chose a frog... a pink frog of course!

 Checking out their loot.
Amanda and CoCo came to join us... CoCo was quite the hit!
 Best Pals!
Grandmother joined us at the Grapevine Easter festival.

The Mom's Club hosted a fundraiser with a breakfast with the Easter Bunny.  Caroline steered clear of this one as well, but Cooper sat on his lap like a champ!
Our last egg hunt was with the Mom's Club.  Caroline had quite a bit of practice so she knew just what to do at this one!  She got a LOT of eggs and had so much fun with all of her friends.

We had our pictures taken several weeks ago as a fundraiser for the Mom's Club.  Staci Johnson took them again and we had a great time.  The kids are just growing up so quickly!
